Helsinki like you have never seen before.

Helsinki skylineI arrived in Finland on Friday evening. It snowed a bit (no, it does not usually snow in May!) and while the flakes were melting away the sky turned orange and dark, bluish grey. Such an impressive sunset.

        I like snow in small doses and when I want 😉 but we are so close to summer that it feels simply weird…

        If I remember correctly, we even had some snow during June some years ago … Thus, nothing so really, really special about May … 😀 😀 😀

      Yes snow and rain and everything in between… quite shocking. Sort of exotic, especially after one month in India, but at the same time discouraging. You cannot go and walk outside unless you wear a ski suit with rubber boots or something 😉

        I hear the spring has been quite pleasant in Paris this year –let’s hope it continues that way, and that this cold Finnish weather does not follow me to Paris…

        I should have brought a winter coat and boots to Finland but no one told me (it started snowing as I was flying!). Oh well. What is the temperature over there?

        Sorry but my S-Korean weather knowledge is very limited! You have a monsoon starting now? For how long? What about summer: hot and dry or smth else…?

        So what is the best season/which months?
        Do you usually take long holidays to go abroad in summer?

    It really seems to be cold at this moment, but it will be warmer. In April we had warm! The highest temperature was 20,4 °C on April, 21th on Kemiönsaari. Hopefully there will be warm weather in Paris where we’ll go tomorrow for one week. 🙂

      Hello! I was in Paris only for one night last week so not sure about the weather. But it would be difficult to beat this cold Finnish weather 😉
      I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful sunshine by the Seine 🙂 Bon voyage.

      Thanks! The amazing part is that the sunset has been pretty much as amazing every night! Some say it has something to do with humidity…. who knows!?

        Definitely could be the case. Meteorological patterns are very mystifying at times. Watching the sunset is one of the most beautiful things to do in this life.

        I haven’t really travelled many places before. My vision of sunsets globally is very limited. For now I’ll say that the most beautiful sunset I saw was at Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia.
